David Kim

Principal Architect

David Kim serves as one of the managing Principal Architects of Harriman Kinyon Architects, Inc. He effortlessly instills an innovative approach to the firm and management team. Mr. Kim has acquired over 20 years of comprehensive experience at prestigious architectural firms specializing in architectural practice in design, construction methodologies, and assimilation of planning disciplines including building codes, local ordinances and standards.

Mr. Kim has also broadened the firm’s portfolio with the addition of retail designs. He is responsible for initial design concepts using digital prototypes for his clients, construction detailing, documenting and communicating construction administration through a synergetic process which includes clients, designers, consultants, contractors and sub-contractors.

Mr. Kim’s prime objective is to encourage growth through the firm’s skill and development for Harriman Kinyon Architects, Inc. as an elite design firm. Mr. Kim provides design oversight and direction for the firm’s projects while dedicating a substantial amount of time developing the staff. He directly oversees the team of designers, project managers and drafters by providing one-on-one mentoring support and guidance to facilitate the successful completion of all of his projects.

Utilizing the latest in building model information technology, Mr. Kim continually improves upon the design process and procedures where possible while employing cutting edge technology tools.

Mr. Kim aspires to generate and preserve a team culture embedded upon the concepts of appreciation and open communication so as to achieve outstanding results for the staff, the firm and most importantly, the clients.
