The project manager position requires a fully competent professional who works independently to lead and direct the work of the project team. Previous experience as a project manager in healthcare, new building developments and multi-family residential design is essential. This position requires the management, development and completion of multiple projects in a manner consistent with HKA’s office standards. This person will be responsible for overall project management including client relationship, scheduling, budgeting and construction administration and accountability for the quality of work performed, client service and profitability.

Successful Candidates will have:

  • Architectural licensure highly desirable but not required.
  • Minimum 5+ Years of experience as a project manager.
  • Prior experience with building healthcare centers is preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of construction materials, standards and codes.
  • BIM proficiency
  • Ability to Communicate clearly and concisely; both verbally and in writing.
  • Capability to effectively work within a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to complete tasks with accuracy and with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines, completing tasks as previously defined.
  • Ability to work with integrity, trust and commitment, setting an example for others.

This position requires a minimum of 8+ years of experience in healthcare, new building developments and multi-family residential. Responsibilities include managing the preparation of drawings for all project phases, working closely with the client, design team, regulatory agencies and contractors to complete projects on time and on budget.  This position requires an experienced Project Architect, assigned to projects with client interaction and inter-team leadership responsibilities. The Project Architect will perform architectural design and development work for a variety of projects ranging from complex alterations of existing buildings to new ground up building developments.  The position has responsibilities for overall coordination of architectural work with an extended consultant and client vendor team. The individual will work independently and/or coordinating the work of 3-4 staff members.

Successful Candidates will have:

  • Licensed architect in the state of California
  • Knowledgeable and able to produce documents in AUTOCAD/Revit
  • Strong Leadership and Presentations Skills
  • Managing consultants and clients
  • Managing project team
  • Ability to travel to project sites
  • Strong technical and construction document skills
  • Construction Administration
  • Information knowledge management and familiarity with the California Building Code.
  • LEED Accredited Professional a plus
