Donald Kinyon

Principal Architect

Donald P. Kinyon, Architect, AIA, NCARB originally joined the firm in 1995 and is Principal-in Charge. As the firm’s operations director he is responsible for the implementation and integration of intellectually thorough strategies, policies and development. His skill derives from over 29 years in architecture industry experience aspiring to provide clear, succinct and sound expert advice, primarily on the interpretation of the ever changing building code and standards. His key strengths include the application and adaptation of standards to specific local requirements to assist his client’s in pursuing their project development objectives. He has particular expertise of projects involving healthcare facilities, mixed-use development, renovations and expansions.

He pilots his team on all of the firm's projects incorporating his expertise in client management and in project direction together with expert healthcare planning and construction documentation. Mr. Kinyon evokes valuable impressions with his clients by cultivating and maintaining an individualized approach to each prospect as well as long lasting relationships with his current clients. The transparency, reliability and attentiveness that Mr. Kinyon exhibits, creates a team environment within all members of the firm.

He routinely serves as a liaison facilitating a close relationship with other architects, engineers, general contractors, planning officers and enforcement officials to negotiate successful avenues to procure planning permits and to achieve entitlement approvals. Mr. Kinyon’s goal is to administer a practice with the intent to guide clients in bringing forth their ideas into reality through exceptional design; ultimately enhancing the quality of their environment and resultantly their lives.
